My 1.3 high-end Talisman testing

I did some testing this morn ... please correct me if I came to any wrong conclusions:

• You need ALL 200s to make a guaranteed +23 (purple fragment, reliquary box, curio, dust, essence)
• If any of the above are less than 200, you will get a +22 (unless you crit)
• There is NO WAY to make a guaranteed +24 ... you HAVE to crit

Also

• +Crit, +Armor, and +Melee/magic/healing power use different scales ... more details on that to come (I don't feel like typing it all out now lol)
• I made a +35 permanent melee power talisman with a 'you made something awesome' crit using a purple 200 fragment and all 200 components. That leads me to believe that +35 is the max.
• I made a +30 permanent magic power talisman using a blue 200 fragment and all 200 components (no crit). That's quite a dropoff ... crits are big on both salvaging and crafting
• +4% crit talismans seems to be max and comes only from purple frags (blue get you +3%) ... critting only adds to the duration

Conclusions:

• +23 will be much rarer IMO than before ... you used to be able to make a guaranteed +19 (now +23) with several substandard components so long as you had a purple fragment ... now you need all 200s
• Crits are huge
• Covet thy purple/blue curios. If you haven't heard, they are gone ... no longer obtainable ... all you get is what you have now. And since +crit is so important...

"You made something awesome" doesn't add much to the power of talisman. It bumps it, for a little, but not much.
"You made something better" buffs power by at least 6. So - for best results you need all-200, purple frag and crit.

This is incorrect. A "something awesome" crit does NOT add power, but a "something better" crit DOES add power. As such, with all the best components, and a "something better" crit, you can make +24 stat talismans, or the equivalent power talisman, which I believe will be +36.

I put max items in the cooker but with a temp fragment (200 blue frag, 200 container, 200 prup curio, 200 gold, 200 magic essence) and the talismanometer said that I would only make a lesser talisman. Not wasting my time or effort, thankyou very much. Rather sell my stock of paragons ashes than bother trying to make that pile of rubbish.

You realize that it always says that yeah? They didn't adjust the power meter for the new power values.

If they are going to change it (again), then they shouldnt do a half assed attempt at it :P Do a job properly and all that.

Yup the talisman making screen is a big buggy, it will say lesser talisman regardless.

Humility is correct in his observations!


So to summarize and from what I've also found:

To make a Superior Talisman of any kind (+23purple or +19blue) you need to have all level 200.

A something better crit will result in a +24purple and a something awesome crit will result in you obtaining a +23purple but you'll also keep the fragment in which you can make another.

But yeah, not too sure on what's happening with the curios?

Did you do any testing with the Potion that gives +25 skill? Does anyone know if it helps to be over?

Looks like them at mythic added bigger bonus to "something better" but left "awesome" bonus to be 1. Tested out, "awesome" adds 1, "better" adds at least 6.

I don't think it matters, any L200 curios regardless of colour will be able to craft a +23 guaranteed or a +24 on a crit

Awesome crit is less because they allow you to keep the fragment, so I assume!

Not sure if anyone noticed this but for me, using crafting info tooltip, the old 10 tier curio's are showing higher crit chances than the regular tier 9 ones - ie a war hardened heart was 10% crit chance but Lahmian Charm Bracelet was 15% chance to crit - something worth to look into?
